Seriously, you’re going to need to calm down after this one. Taylor Swift teased an Easter egg reveal that’s tied to a shot from “You Need To Calm Down” that fans will probably remember.
“I’m going live on Instagram tomorrow, July 23 at 5pm ET!” Swift tweeted. “I have some stuff I’m reeeeeally excited to tell you about, including some info on this Easter egg right here.”
That Easter egg was a gif of an arrow hitting a bullseye. Fans may notice that there’s a number five right in the center. Let’s not ignore the emoji Swift chose for this tweet, though. There’s a bow, a bullseye, the eyes emoji, and an up arrow. What does it all mean? Well, that’s what fans are trying to figure out in the hours before Swift’s announcement.
Some have guessed it has something to do with pop singer Hayley Kiyoko. She’s the one that was shooting that bow in the “You Need To Calm Down” video. Kiyoko also told MTV News that Swift asked her specifically to be a part of this special Easter egg. So, could Kiyoko be featured on Track 5 of Swift’s upcoming album Lover? Is she going to drop said song tomorrow? Deep breaths, deep breaths.
Or, could Kiyoko be joining Swift on her upcoming tour, which could start in May, the fifth month? Seriously, it’s gonna be hard to keep calm and carry on until tomorrow.
