DORCHESTER, MA – APRIL 14: Stacie Gibson carries a tray of chocolate Easter bunnies while making them at Phillips Candy House April 14, 2006 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The first edible Easter bunnies were made in Germany in the early 1800s, but they were made of pastry and sugar. After the edible Easter bunny arrived in the United States chocolate was used to make them and the tradition continues to this day. Easter is one of the peak periods for the sale of candies. You’ve probably got a bunch of Easter candy to devour over the next few weeks, and I’m sure we all agree that the Peanut Butter Eggs are the best!!! Now, before you start feeding your face, you may want to know what it’s going to take to burn off all those calories. According to some recent studies, here’s the caloric content of some of the most popular Easter candies, and how much exercise is needed to burn off those calories…

One Cadbury Creme Egg is 171 calories, and you’d need 15 minutes of biking, 20 minutes of jogging or 18 minutes of weight training to burn them all off.

Easter isn’t Easter without Chocolate bunnies, right? That means 524 Easter calories and not one, but two spin classes!

At 384 calories, you’d need to walk for an hour if you want to neutralize one small chocolate marshmallow bunny.

Do you like Lindt Golden Easter Bunnies? Then plan for 2 hours and 16 minutes on the treadmill!

If you want 5 marshmallow chicks, at 140 calories, you’ll need to jump rope for 12 minutes to burn it all off.

And, my favorite, 1 peanut butter egg has 80 calories. You’d need to swim for 15 minutes. That means I need to swim for about 25 hours....but, it’s worth it!!
