If you missed us this morning, I found an article from a 50 year old guy who claims he changed his mother's diet and she began to recognize him again. His 82 year old mother was hospitalized with dementia and didn't even know who he was anymore. Instead of the prescribed medication, he tried an alternative diet.
First off, let me say that my mom passed away from this horrible disease and she ate pretty much all of the foods found on this prescribed list! With that in mind, I'm not sure that I totally believe it was the diet or another reason this woman got her memory back. But with all the research I've done, this list of food seems to be consistent as way to slow the process.
Everyone is different and maybe this diet will work for you or someone you know. Why not hold on to hope, sometimes hope is the only thing that helps get us through tough situations. Of course you should always seek medical advice.
