Ladies: If you use bobby pins, chances are you’ve been putting them in wrong.

Yes, you read that right.

How can something that seems so simple be done incorrectly, you wonder?

Well, apparently, the wavy side of the bobby pin is supposed to go underneath your hair, with the straight side showing.

We had no idea!

Whenever we notice someone wearing bobby pins, we always observe the wavy side up.

According to the Sun, the wavy side is better capable of gripping your hair, and helps the bobby pin to stay in place.
