Weekdays 3pm - 7pm

One of my New Years resolutions was to finally get into shape. I have tried going to the gym while dieting in the past but for some reason nothing ever worked. It could be because when I was going to work out, I really didn’t know what I was doing. I would run on the treadmill for about a half hour, lift some weights here and there but at the end of the day I didn’t feel as if I did anything to help myself. Well a few days ago I came across an ad on Instagram about doing this six week challenge with the gym Crossfit 103 in Staten Island, NY.

If you ever heard of Crossfit then you know one thing, it’s super intense but if you put your mind to it, it works. But with that said at first I wasn’t sure if this was something I wanted to do because I have always been super self-conscious about working out in front of groups of people but I knew if I truly wanted to make a change in my life, this is something I had to give a shot. So I did.

It all started with them weighing us, measuring our body fat percentage, giving us a diet plan based on our goals and a nutrition seminar. One of the couches named Gil, broke everything down for us based on our diet plan and how they were going to help us achieve our goals. Right from the start I knew this was the right choice to make because I could go to the gym and “eat healthy” for weeks and not see results, but Gil actually broke down why situations like that happen and its all about feeding your body with the right nutrients rather then just eating less. He also had us  join a Facebook group where we can ask questions regarding anything and whats awesome about this is, you really don’t have to wait long for a response because someone  literally answers you within two minutes top. So to put this all in perspective I currently have a numerous amount of coaches to help me do workouts I never thought I would be able to do plus break down a proper nutrition plan to fuel my muscles. To say the least, this is awesome!

Last week was my first of six completed and to be honest, I feel great. I have been following the diet plan assigned to me, made my first three classes and I’m actually craving to get back in that building to start working out again. By the way, I have never said those words you just read in my life! Yes! I want to get back to the Crossfit 103 gym and get stronger!

I’ll be keeping you up to date with any & all results.

Until next week 😉
