If you’re trying to lose weight, chances are you primary goal is to see the benefits on the scale, right? It turns out that there may be other benefits you may not be aware of, based on recent research published by the University of Michigan:
- Losing 10 percent of body weight can relieve weight-related joint pain. It also contributes to less pain in other parts of the body that may not obviously tied to weight, such as the stomach or head.
- Improved cognition, energy and mood. Small wonder when you’re relieving that pain!
- A spike in anti-inflammatory molecules. These play a key role in warding off pain.
Now you have even more motivation to lose those pounds!
