WEEHAWKEN, NJ. - JULY 4: The New York City skyline is seen in the distance as fireworks explode over the Hudson River during the Macy's fireworks display July 4, 2009 in Weehawken, New Jersey. It was the first time since 2000 that the Macy's display took place over the Hudson River and not the East River.

I don’t know about you, but I never actually go and check where fireworks are going to be in our area until July 4 (kind of like figuring out New Year’s plans). Here is the list we have as of 9:00 a.m. on July 4 to help you figure out where to drop your lawn chair tonight without too much digging on Google. If you know of another town doing fireworks today that isn’t listed, call the studio at 732-545-8275 so we can be aware:

  • East Brunswick
  • Edison
  • Piscataway
  • Bridgewater
  • North Plainfield
  • Clark
  • Cranford
  • Kenilworth
  • Mountainside
  • New Providence
  • Plainfield
  • Rahway
  • Summit
  • Union
  • Elizabeth
  • Keansburg
  • Long Branch

Have a safe and happy July 4!
