What Is With The 'Man-Bun' Hairstyle?

Celebrities and Hipsters alike, we see it all the time. The man with the long hair, and then he pulls it back into a bun on the back of his head. Not quite like a ballerina, but hippie style. We've seen Leo, Brad, and Jared all do it, but the question is, why?

E! released something today that shook my fashion sense to the core (and mind you, I've seen quite a few of these in real life) - but now, there's an Instagram to account for it's heinous crimes on hair... in Disneyland.

The account? @ManBunsInDisneyland.

We women know how easy it is to put our hair up and say "Voila! My hair is done," so we're guessing that's what these men are doing.

And though they look sort of adorable when catering to children, we can't help wonder what it is with the man-bun fad.

Man-Bun vigilantes have surfaced on YouTube (even though they have a guy with a man-bun in the backseat):

They eventually said "sorry" for staging the video (the victims were aware it was going to happen to them), but it still brought awareness to this questionable hair epidemic.

Do you find the man-bun attractive? Or do you want to run around cutting off people's hair and running as well?

If you love the man-bun, here is a celebrity gallery of some of the best "buns" in Hollywood (no pun intended):
