For All You "Walking Dead" Fans Who Are Still Sobbing...

We all finally heard those six words, "Previously on AMC's The Walking Dead," this past Sunday but no one could have been prepared for what was coming next. Walking Dead fans lost a piece of their family this past Sunday when Negan swung his pointy-headed bat Lucy to not one, but TWO of the heads of our beloved group members to establish authority, instill fear, and to have one of the most twisted chuckles anyone has ever seen.

So to make it official, RIP to Abraham Ford and Glenn Rhee as the first two casualties of Season 7.

Abraham has never been one of the major characters in my mind no matter how long he has been present within the group. But his loss is still rough because there was never any reason to have anything against him. He was character that people could easily relate to because he nearly ended his life after he lost everything. But, was somehow brought back to life and try again. He contributed to the needs of the group and definitely made a difference in the group, even if it was for just a short while.

Glenn, however, has been charming the hearts of the Walking Dead fans since the first episode of the series when Rick got himself caught in a tank surrounded by a horde of walkers. We have watched him mature from a pizza delivery boy into a mature man who has become a loyal and responsible member of the group that fell in love and was ready to become a father.  And then to put the icing on the cake, Glenn's last words were, "I will find you" to Maggie before officially getting killed. That very moment was when I lost it.

Now, as much as we are all heart broken, it is time to look ahead. The biggest question that I have relentlessly been asking myself:

Has our group actually been broken?

As much as we would all like to truly believe that the good guy will always win, I have never once seen Rick surrender all of his power to the bastard villain.  If our leader has been broken, I'm not sure how much chance our group truly has. As much as Maggie had a moment of true courage, I can't see that being nearly enough.

But let's say they muster up the energy to fight...

Would our group risk Daryl's life, who is still in Negan's possession, for the victory?

I personally doubt it; especially after Rick just lost one of his closest brothers.

But my condolences for everyone's losses this past weekend. Until next Sunday.....let's prepare for the worst but hope for the best.
