Margot Robbie To Have Stand Alone 'Harley Quinn' Film

With the release date of August 2016 for Suicide Squad, we've come to find out that Margot Robbie is already in talks to have her own spin off film.

Quicker than any Marvel notes (as they are hoping to have a stand alone Black Widow film in the coming years), DC isn't wasting any time putting out a Female fronted Super-Flick, in which Variety suggest will also feature Batgirl and Birds of Prey.

The plot is unknown, but according to Variety, Robbie will be producing the picture as well.

We also don't know if Jared Leto will reprise The Joker in any form of that film, especially considering that Robbie recently expressed that she wants to have roles that don't come with "the cliche that comes with being called sexy," according to The Daily Mail quoting Woman's Day, as well as "wants to keep looking for roles where the main interest will be in the character and her importance in driving a story forward, rather than her relationship with a male character," quoted on IndieWire.com from the Woman's Day article.

Her most well known film is Wolf of Wall Street alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, and she is playing Jane in the most recent Tarzan adaptation, both roles that surround a male character with her as a side piece.

Maybe in this film, it will give the super hero / super baddies chicks (hard to know which Harley turns out to be since Suicide Squad hasn't been released yet) a chance to shine.

Either way, we can't wait to see the sexy and sinister Harley Quinn once Suicide Squad drops in August, then we'll be the judge on if a stand alone is worth the time.
