New Music Due This Year

According to Billboard magazine we can expect to hear some new music from Taylor Swift, U2 and -- if we're lucky -- Adele.

Taylor Swift is working on the follow-up to her Grammy-nominated, best-selling album Red and it could be released by the end of 2014.

Rumor has it, (yeah we went there), that Adele has been working with oneRepublics Ryan Tedder. Ryan told an Australian newspaper that he's been working on new material with Adele and that she "sounds even better than before."

Bono and the boys of U2, could be releasing their thirteenth, which is due sometime in April. Billboard has reported that the plan is for the band to announce details of the new disc in a splashy Super Bowl commercial.

And then there is the new album from Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band, "High Hopes", due out on the 14 of this month. Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello is featured on eight tracks on the new album, including his vocals on a new version of "The Ghost of Tom Joad." Deceased E Street Band sax player Clarence Clemons and late organ and keyboards player Danny Federici also make appearances on High Hopes. This is going to be a big year for the E-Street as they are among this years inductees into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

Tom Morello will be joining Springsteen and the E Street Band for a tour that begins January 26 in South Africa and also includes dates in Australia and New Zealand. As for U.S. concert run in 2014, Springsteen says, "I don't want to say 'yes' because I don't want to disappoint people, but I certainly don't want to rule it out, either. There's places we missed on the last tour."
